If your child is out of school, on their return please have them report to the main office from 7 to 7:30 in the morning and see Mr. Pereira. In addition, please have them bring in documentation.
If there is a need for your child to leave school early, please send in a note (including a morning telephone number to confirm dismissal) with your child. They will be issued a yellow dismissal pass from class and you can meet your child in the office. Students should report to the main office before the warning bell for Block 1 to get the dismissal approved. We are hoping to greatly decrease the classroom interruptions that occur when we do not follow this procedure.
There has been an ever increasing problem of students losing electronic devices (cell phones, iPods, etc) while at school. The Stamford Board of Education policy prohibits their use during the school day. Students who have them out and visible from their backpacks run the risk of having their device taken when they turn away or leave them unattended. There is also the potential for students to have their devices taken away if they are found to be using them during the school day. This problem can be greatly minimized if our students kept their devices away in the backpacks while in school. We appreciate everyone's reinforcing this message.
